lyrics
If I were the first to love
You’d be the first to be loved
Wait as the roots find their way
They’ll grow deeper with each passing day
Look as the clouds pass overhead
I will count them till the daylight ends
It will take more than one try
We will wait for a brighter sky
Peel away, keeping me up through the night
I’ll be ok, be whatever you like
Fall away, I’ll stay with you by your side
Escape, be whatever you like
There is a way that you move
Through the spaces in front of you
Filling the room with light
I can watch you with unflinching eyes
It takes one more try
With each passing night
Each passing day
Each passing night

I love the tone and experience of this whole album. Its tone is pretty sad overall I think, and it has a lot of its own flavor. And there are some calming and wonderful vibes on here (like Water Me Down and Flood)! Beautiful. mightyzote
Intimate and unique. This album plays well with a bottle of Syrah crunched up in your finest pair of headphones with candles lit in a steamy bubble bath. sig
